Founded in 2008 by partners Dr. Angeline Lim and Dr. Jennifer Weintraub, Duet Plastic Surgery is a private medical practice located in Palo Alto, CA specializing in breast and body surgery, cosmetic surgery, and body contouring procedures. Our unique collaborative approach features two female surgeons who work as a team, allowing us to provide an unparalleled level of surgical finesse and personalized care for our valued patients in the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond.

Duet’s boutique-style practice was conceived by Dr. Lim and Dr. Weintraub during their surgical training as residents of Stanford University’s renowned integrated plastic surgery program in the early 2000s. Foregoing the institutional route common for doctors and surgeons emerging from residency, Drs. Lim and Weintraub instead opted to establish an innovative, collaborative private practice. In doing so, they have filled a niche for patients eager to receive the singular combination of carefully tailored treatment, medical expertise, refined results, and distinguished teamwork that is the hallmark of the Duet experience.

At Duet Plastic Surgery, we restore anatomy, function, as well as confidence in our patients by helping them achieve a natural look that appropriately reflects each individual. We are continually inspired by our patients to refine both our surgical and artistic skills, as well as stay current with the latest products and methods, allowing us to provide a unmatched range of knowledge, procedural options, and level of work for any and every circumstance.

Whether you are a mother looking to reclaim her figure after having had children with a “mommy makeover,” a newly healthy person who is looking to refine the contours of their shape after weight loss, or a woman looking to enhance or redefine curves, our team at Duet has the knowledge, technique and dedication to provide you with a discreet, personalized plastic surgery experience unsurpassed by any other practice. We invite you to learn more about our team, procedures, philosophy, and natural results that have us sought after throughout the Bay Area and California, and across international borders.

Dr. Angeline Lim

Dr. Lim is known for her artistic eye combined with her commitment to honing her skills in the latest innovative plastic surgery techniques.

A Midwestern transplant to the Bay Area, Dr. Angeline Lim hails from Ohio, where she graduated summa cum laude from the University of Akron and received her medical degree from the Northeast Ohio Medical University (formerly the Northeastern Ohio Universities Colleges of Medicine and Pharmacy) in Rootstown, OH via the accelerated B.S./M.D. program. Selected to join Stanford University’s highly-regarded integrated plastic surgery program in Palo Alto, CA, Dr. Lim relocated to the west coast in 2002.

As a plastic surgical resident at Stanford, Dr. Lim received world-class training in all aspects of plastic surgery alongside the classmate who would become her partner in Duet, Dr. Jennifer Weintraub.

Board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and Aesthetic Society, Dr. Lim continues to hone her skills in plastic surgery. She has contributed to peer-reviewed journals and has served as an invited speaker at regional and national level medical conferences. She also donates her skills and time to medical missions dedicated to repairing cleft lips and palates in children, including past trips to cities and villages in Guatemala, Mexico, and China.

When not spending time with her husband and children talking baseball, she has loved discovering the “quiet glory of aging into athleticism.” Running long and far and in between, working on flexibility and balance, and lifting heavy (for her) have helped her appreciate the many athletes that she has met and taken care of at Duet. Helping other women discover (or rediscover) the strength and power of their own bodies at all stages of life has been a gift.

Dr. Jennifer Weintraub

Dr. Weintraub's warm and approachable personality, combined with her meticulous nature, distinguishes her as a talented surgeon.

Born and raised in California, Dr. Jennifer Weintraub temporarily relocated to the east coast to attend college at prominent Ivy League institution the University of Pennsylvania, where she graduated cum laude with a BA in politics and philosophy. She then moved one state north for medical school at the historic Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Yeshiva University in New York City, receiving her medical degree as a member of the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. Dr. Weintraub returned to the west coast to continue her training as a chosen resident of Stanford University Medical Center’s highly competitive reconstructive and plastic surgery program, where she met her Duet partner Dr. Angeline Lim.

As part of the intensive residency program at Stanford, Dr. Weintraub received training in all aspects of complex reconstructive and aesthetic surgery, which included rotations at several world-class medical institutions in the Bay Area. Rather than join the ranks of doctors of hospital-based practices upon completing her residency in 2008, she joined forces with Dr. Lim to co-found the intimate, small-group practice that is Duet.

As a woman, mother, and a surgeon, Dr. Weintraub takes a special interest in restoring the figures of women after pregnancy and childbirth with body contouring procedures such as breast lift and augmentation, tummy tuck, and body lifts. She also specializes in tuberous breast reconstruction and improvement of breast asymmetry. She has distinguished herself with a top-notch reputation for her meticulous surgical technique, artistic eye, and warm, personalized approach to every patient throughout every step of their care.

Board-certified in plastic surgery, Dr. Weintraub is also active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgery and the California Society of Plastic Surgeons. She has published numerous scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals and textbook chapters on topics including wound healing and scars, rhinoplasty, breast aesthetics and reconstruction, burn resuscitation, and complex hand reconstruction. She has also presented her research at several national scientific meetings and medical conferences.

A resident of the Bay Area, Dr. Weintraub enjoys spending time after office hours with her husband, their three children, and of course, their beloved border collie.
